How to get New Passport in Saudi Arabia?
The General Directorate of Passports (Absher) offers an e-service that allows beneficiaries to obtain a new passport. Documents can be requested to be delivered by Saudi Post rather than visiting the General Directorate of Passports offices.
Procedure to Get a New Passport in Saudi Arabia
- Login to Absher
- Select (Citizens) from the homepage.
- Select passport services from the List of e-services.
- Select the service.
- Submit the request.
- After submitting, you will be notified with the transaction number.
Prerequisite to getting a new passport in Saudi Arabia
- Payment of any traffic violations incurred by the individual requesting the service.
- The citizen requesting the service has a fingerprint and a photo.
- The citizen must be present in the Kingdom at the time of the issuing request.
- There is no valid passport for the citizen requesting a passport, as long as he has not been included as a companion to someone else’s passport
- The citizen (single / head of home) and the family guardian can issue the passport for his family members through the Saudi passport issuing agency
