Darat Safeya Binzagr
- An artist was born in 1940 in the heart of Jeddah’s historic district, and he or she was meant to preserve the city’s heritage for future generations. Her family’s home in Harat Al-Sham appeared to merge with Safeya Binzagr’s soul when she inhaled for the first time, and the connection between the location and the artist grew stronger over time.
- Safeya Binzagr wasn’t entirely cut off from her birthplace when her family relocated to Egypt in 1947. A powerful sense of nostalgia drew her back to a wonderful place enhanced by the warmth of its people, its priceless customs and traditions, and the aroma of the old allies lingered with her.
- Small private gallery Darat Safeya Binzagr in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, admirably exemplifies the norms of international galleries while having a singular national imprint.
- It houses an ongoing collection of artwork by Saudi artist Safeya Binzagr in addition to precious old clothes, linens, and instruments that date back more than a century. The gallery also hosts workshops and art panels and has exhibition spaces, research libraries, and gift stores.
- The gallery is divided into various themed sections, such as her wedding series, a collection of children’s games, a collection of hunting and fishing items, a collection of architectural treasures, a collection of daily activities and occupations, a collection of watercolors and pastels, a collection of traditional jewellery, and so on.

- Darat Safeya’s goal is to change Saudi society’s perception of innovation and art.
